Welcome to Kerman, the oasis of Persian heritage.
Meet us in Kerman and head to the nearby town of Mahan to visit:
  • Shazdeh Garden (UNESCO): lush greenery, vibrant flowers, and meticulously designed waterways in the backdrop of a desert! This 19th-century place is a great example of the brilliant system ancient Iranians invented to create gardens in a land that lacked enough water: Persian Gardens!
  • Shah Nematullah Vali Shrine: this graceful spiritual site is dedicated to a revered 15th-century Sufi mystic and seer. The shrine features precious mosaics and serene gardens that invite you to contemplation and cultural exploration.

Then, on your way to Lut Desert, visit the following:

  • Lut Desert Museum: showcasing the region's unique geology, culture, and history, offering insights into Iran’s desert life.
  • Cypress tree in Sirch Village: the 1000-year-old tree stands as a symbol of endurance, with its towering presence reflecting the village's rich history and the region's deep connection to nature.
  • Nebka Trees: also known as "desert nurseries," form unique clusters of vegetation, thriving in harsh conditions and creating ecosystems that support desert life amidst the extreme aridity.
