My passion for Iranian handicrafts and ethnic clothing also led me to establish a community celebrating handicrafts, food, and clothing of Iran’s various ethnicities. Years later, inspired by my husband’s Tange Chogan roots and our shared love for the region, we opened an ecolodge, reviving the once-deserted village and fostering tourism that benefits locals and draws youth back home.”

Here, we share the story of a remarkable man: my grandfather, Mehrban, a descendant of Zoroastrian priests, who dedicated his life to serving his community. His passion for faith and service didn’t end with him—it became a legacy flowing through the veins of his children and grandchildren. That legacy lives on in me, as I now share his story through this house-museum, where we talk about his life, our faith, everyday Zoroastrian traditions, and treasured Avesta texts.
